Authentication Brilliant basics Customize & extend Integrations & triggers Developer features Highly requested

March: A massive month for features

It’s been one of the biggest releases months we’ve had, and includes some things that have been on the roadmap for a while.

Custom CSS for page design

One of the most requested features is finally here! You can now bring your own CSS code to create on-brand page designs in the authentication flow. There’s a bit to it - connecting GitHub and understanding the page settings - but check out the docs for everything you need.

Workflows is GA - with multiple triggers ready out of the box

It’s been in beta for a while and it’s now available to everyone! Workflows are like webhooks but better. They solve a bunch of challenges with built-in triggers for changing token payloads, setting password rules, post-token generation actions, and more. Find out why workflows are deceptively easy and very powerful.

Manage enterprise connections inside orgs

When you add an enterprise connection for a business customer, it makes sense to manage that connection inside the organization in Kinde. Now you can. You can still manage shared connections at the business level, but dedicated organization connections can be managed in context. Start here.

Enable non-persistent sessions

For increased security on shared devices, you can enable non-persistent sessions for your end users. This means that they can close a browser to end a session, instead of having to deliberately sign out. Enable it for your users.

Include params for IdPs (upstream)

You can pass upstream parameters to an Identity Provider (IdP) during authentication. The values you pass can either be static per connection or dynamic per user. Use this feature to create a smoother sign in experience - by passing the email through, or to offer an account switcher (such as the Google account switcher) during sign in. Add them now.

Sign in to last organization

One of those tiny pieces of friction is sometimes getting back to where you were in an application. You can now set the auth flow to skip the org chooser and sign user straight into the last org they used. Find out how.

Add marketing tags as properties

Integrate your marketing needs with Kinde by including specific marketing data in tokens, and storing them as properties. We've built a whole lot for you into Kinde, so you don't need to add them. This will provide insight into your users, and for use in marketing campaigns. Learn more.

Auto-redirect users with home realm domain

No more double Microsoft identities to sort out. Switch on home realm domain detection for your Microsoft social connection and leverage home realm discovery to ensure a smooth sign in. Here’s how.

Microsoft Entra ID (SAML) enterprise connection

A new SAML flavor of Microsoft enterprise connection has been added to Kinde. Set it up now.

SDK updates

Next.js, Ruby, React, Nuxt (with new route protection)

We’ve updated our Next.js SDK to protect against a critical issue, CVE-2025-29927 that was detected by Vercel. We recommend all Next.js users update their packages as soon as possible.

Bugs and fugs

Reset MFA and force MFA sign in for users who previously opted out
