Better control for Enterprise customers

Self-serve SSO enterprise connections (Kinde Scale plans)

If you are a B2B business supporting multiple enterprise SSO connections, your customers can set up their own SSO connections via the self-serve portal. This makes setup and configuration time much faster, with less room for mis-entering credentials. You are still in control of default configurations, but they can do the core setup much more easily.

We are releasing this generally very soon. Get in touch with us to enable this in your organization.

Better workflow error messages

Workflow errors are now more visible and helpful across all trigger events. When a workflow denies access, users will see the specific error reason you defined in the denyAccess function, rather than a generic message. This means you can provide clearer guidance when something goes wrong - like explaining why an email domain isn't allowed or what IP restrictions are in place.

This applies to post-authentication, pre-registration, and other workflow triggers. Learn more about workflows.

Billing improvements

We've made a bunch of fixes and enhancements to billing to make things smoother for you and your customers.

What's fixed:

• You can now delete features and plan versions that are no longer in use

• The subscription success page shows clearer messaging

• API responses are more consistent when querying users

• Sign-up flows work better for both organization and user-based plans

These changes make billing more reliable and easier to manage across different plan types.

Here's what got updated across our SDKs and developer tools in October:

• Major updates to Java, Python, .NET, PHP, and Go SDKs

• New features in NextJS, React, SvelteKit, and Expo frameworks

• Enhanced token handling with js-utils and JWT validator improvements

• Workflows runtime now includes better typing support
